CLUB UPDATE

Dear families, coaches, players,

As a club, our priority is the health and well-being of our players, coaches and families. Bearing in mind the current concerns and news regarding the COVID-19 virus, BVB International Academy San Antonio will be following the lead of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and other knowledgeable agencies in our actions and precautions governing our club training and events.

As of today, March 13, we are suspending all training, team meetings, group events and games through March 31st. This pre- emptive measure aligns with STYSA and other governing sports bodies and agencies. There is a possibility that this current suspension will be extended per recommendations by the CDC, and / or State and local government, or STX Soccer. We will continue to update you in the days and weeks ahead.

We encourage all our families to consult with local, regional and national health organizations such as the CDC for up-to-date information and suggested ways we can all protect and possibly limit the exposure for ourselves and our families.  The website is https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-nCoV/index.html The webpage is dedicated to relative, easy to understand up to date information.

Panic is not recommended, but common-sense information is. The following are a few of the general guidelines recommended to all of us while we manage through this situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap for a minimum of 20 seconds throughout the day.
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick
  • Clean surfaces or objects that are used often, avoid touching surfaces that are not necessary
  • Do not touch your eyes, mouth or nose
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with tissues and be sure to throw the tissues in the trash
  • If you are feeling sick, feeling any symptoms of the cold or flu, stay home and contact a health professional

Remember that the actions or precautions we take now, do not only protect us, but also protect those people around us who we care about. As a part of the BVB family we wish all of our players, families the very best during this difficult time. Please feel free to reach out to us for further information or questions. If you or your family need help or support during this time, please count on the club and contact us at your convenience.

We appreciate your support, understanding and look forward to seeing our players back on the pitch very soon!

Be Safe and Take Care!
